About GSL

GSL wasEstablished in 2000 in Rajahmundry, the G.S.L. Educational Society aims to advance medical education and healthcare in Andhra Pradesh. Named in memory of Smt. Ganni Subba Lakshmi, the Society operates a large unitary complex with modern facilities. The GSL Medical College and Hospital, spanning over 100 acres and adjacent to National Highway 16, features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a 1200-bed hospital with 150 ICU beds and 21 operation theatres. 

Our Chairman Dr Ganni Bhaskara Rao provides comprehensive services across various specialties and super-specialties, including general medicine, surgery, reproduction medicine, cardiology, and neurology, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Urology and Plastic Surgery.. It is NABH certified and includes round-the-clock blood bank, laboratory, pharmacy, and trauma care services. The institution also offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty courses.

GSL enhances its services through specialized facilities, including the SMART & STARC Simulation Lab, which is managed by Dr. Sandeep Ganni, the Managing Director. We also have other facilities of  Genetics Lab, Cadaveric Robotic Lab , along with mobile medical units. The Society also runs GSL Dental College, GSL & Swatantra Physiotherapy Colleges, Nursing and Paramedical colleges, and wellness centers. It supports rural healthcare and partners with government programs for subsidized treatments. GSL’s mission is to deliver high-quality, affordable healthcare and education, particularly to underserved communities.
